The PGA TOUR heads back to Detroit for the third edition of the Rocket Mortgage Classic at Detroit Golf Club. The tournament was one of the first in the PGA TOUR’s return to golf in 2020 and saw Bryson DeChambeau win by three shots over Matthew Wolff. The reigning champion returns and will be hoping to find some form, as he has not recorded a top-10 finish since the Wells Fargo Championship in early May. After two months away from golf and then a T15 finish at the U.S. Open, Wolff will be looking to go a step further this year and claim his first title since 2019. Meanwhile, reigning PGA Championship winner Phil Mickelson will make his tournament debut, marking his first start in Michigan since 2008. Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama will play for the third year in a row as 13 major champions, including Jason Day who held the 36-hole lead at the Travelers Championship, are set to battle it out.

  • Born in '62, I grew up watching and playing with my Dad. And we watched all the Greats. He told me,"drive for show, putt for dough." And it just seems like the players today(not that I could compete) don't putt as well as they used to. It may be tougher greens,or pin placements.
